Academy Primary School and Holy Family Primary School have long standing friendships links through Shared Education, formerly known as EMU, The Friendship Tree, PACT, CRED and The Signature Project.
Our friendship links have been established for over 20 years!
These links are encouraging by our Board of Governors, Staff, Parents and Pupils.
Staff work together to plan, deliver and evaluate exciting lessons across the curriculum particularly the areas of PDMU, World Around Us, STEM, ICT and The Arts.
Shared Education provides children the opportunities to enhance the curriculum but also explore personal attributes and similarities and differences. Shared Education allows staff to share good practice, expertise and plan and deliver lessons together.
We are looking forward to our up and coming events:
Primary 1 will meet to explore Outdoor Play and Activity Based Learning.
Primary 5 will meet to develop and enhance UICT.
Primary 7 will meet up for a shared trip to Down County Museum, exchange Christmas cards, watch school productions and develop Keeping Safe Online.
