P1 went to Lisburn Fire Station today.

As part of their 'People Who Help Us' topic, P1 travelled to Lisburn Fire Station today.

Thank you so much to all at the Fire Station. We learned so much and had a great time.

Fire fighter Kent met us and told us what we were going to see.

We saw Saintfield's name on the screen when the fire fighters put through a practice call.

We saw where each 'Watch' keeps their uniforms in a warm drying room.

We learned about how each piece of uniform protects the fire fighters.

We saw a quick way to get down stairs!

...and what is at the bottom of the pole.

We learned how to work as a team to lift someone who is hurt to an ambulance.

1,2,3 lift as a team.

Everyone got to climb onto a fire engine to see inside.

We saw all of the equipment fire fighters use.

This a how they sometimes get into buildings on fire.
