A message for P7 A from Mrs Allen :)

30th Mar 2020

 Hi P7 A,

It is wonderful to be able to communicate with you all online. I am sorry I didn’t get to see you all before the school closed so abruptly but I wanted to let you know you have been very much on my mind!

I am sorry that the Lion king isn’t going ahead. I feel so lucky that I had the opportunity to see you all perform on stage during rehearsals. It was truly magical. You brought so much joy to me every day and even brought a tear to my eye when I saw you on stage! Don’t stop performing, your dancing and singing spreads so much joy!

We will continue our learning journey for the rest of the year in a very different way. I am confident that you will all work as hard as you have in class with your parents at home! Your eagerness to learn this year has been wonderful for me to see and I have watched you all grow and flourish in different ways. Use this time at home to focus not just on Maths and English. Remember to exercise, to rest, explore your creativity, sing, dance and have fun! And read, read every day. Reading is exercise for your brain.

I feel very privileged to have been your teacher this year and am looking forward to our new learning experience together! In the weeks ahead remember the words of Pumba and Timon, ‘Hakuna Matata’.
Take care.

From your teacher,

Mrs Allen.
Ps below is a poem by Spike Milligan about something that is VERY CONTAGIOUS at the moment. Please take the time to read.

Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,

When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.

I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin.

When he smiled I realised
I'd passed it on to him.

I thought about that smile,
then I realised its worth.

A single smile, just like mine
could travel round the earth.

So, if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected.
Let's start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!
