Yesterday our P5 children travelled by coach to the St. Patrick Centre, Downpatrick. Once there we were ushered into an auditorium where the children met up with their friends from Holy Family. The purpose of the day was for the children to learn more about the Egyptian Gods through Music.
The day commenced with some fun activities to teach the children how they can warm up their voices prior to singing. The rest of the day was spent gaining further knowledge on the Egyptian Gods, listening to an Egyptian Chant, using our bodies as a percussion instrument and performing a self written chant in their small groups on stage.
The children also enjoyed exploring the roof garden at lunch time.
