Academy Primary School 194 Listooder Road Saintfield Ballynahinch

40th Anniversary Open Day

25th Feb 2017

Calling all former and present staff, pupils and parents!

This school year is the 40th anniversary of Academy primary school on its present site. We are organising a number of events to celebrate this special anniversary.

On Wednesday, 1st March, we will be holding a 40th celebration open day. If possible, the children should come to school dressed as they would have done in the 1970s. (Mr. Moore already has his Abba suit sorted!) We will have a special assembly and then the school will be open to visitors from 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.  Any former or present pupils, parents and staff will be very welcome. There will be old photos and registers on display in the hall as well as tea, coffee and birthday cake. You can browse through the photographs and take a wander round the school and into the classes to see how the school has changed in the last 40 years.

This is the first time we have opened the school in this fashion and we hope that you will avail yourself of this once in 40 years opportunity! Please pass on the word to anyone you know who has a connection with Academy.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, 1st March.

Best wishes,

Mrs. Kells
